Celeste is based in the Jordaan, whose canal-side terraces are where many evenings begin and some of them end. She switches easily between Portuguese and English. Her formats are nuru and body-to-body, and she chooses on the night what a session includes. At twenty-three she is relaxed about late hours and firm about one thing: a guest with a few drinks behind him is still expected to be courteous, and a session that stops being courteous can end early. The door, the lighting and the hour are his to arrange before she arrives.
